Monday’s I spend with my adorable Five year old grandson, It’s hot today but i’m going to drag him out of the pool for a crafting break, he loves crafting almost as much as I do so I think he will be OK with today’s project.
- Tempera Paint
- Plaster of Paris
- Wrapping Paper Tubes, or molds
- Wax Paper
- Masking Tape
Cut the tube into 5 inch segments. Line the interiors with wax paper, tape the base to seal one end, and set aside.
For each color:
Mix 2-3 tablespoons of tempera paint with 1/2 cup of water. Stir in 3/4 cup of plaster of Paris. Spoon the mixture into a sandwich baggy and snip the end. Squeeze the contents into the tube. Prop straight up.
It’s messy so outside is a good idea, clearly we are not afraid to make a mess at our house!
My heart molds worked great!
Allow to dry at room temperature for at least 12 hours. Enjoy!
