Growing up in a German family, we ate German Pancakes…you know the make the batter the night before and then bake in a cast iron skillet. On days we would request this last minuet my mom would make these very yummy in their own right. I can not support them being eaten any other way then with butter, lemon juicy, and powdered sugar, if you do just don’t tell me about it.
I’m giving you the per pancake recipe, I whisk the ingredients together one pancake at a time, but if your doing this for more than 1 or 2 people feel free to put it all in a blender say if your doing 4 quadruple the recipe then just measure out 1/4 the batter in the skillet at a time.
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 TBSP Butter
Whisk (or blend) Milk, flour and eggs.
Heat skillet to Medium hot, add butter and melt.
Add batter to pan and cover till set enough to flip.
Flip pancake and cover just 10-20 seconds.
slide pancake onto plate and top with fresh squeezed lemon and dust with powdered sugar.
